1. Discuss together what has happend so far in Jonah 1-16.
2. What is the transition between the Jonah of Jonah 1 and Jonah 2? Think about the change in his understanding of what God wants for him and where God's ways will lead him? How has Jonah's view of God's heart changed?
3. Read Jonah 2:1-6. What sorts of things is Jonah experiencing?
4. Read Jonah 2:9: Discuss the differences Jonah talks about when he compares "idols" and God. Where does the love that idols offer vs. the love God offers inform Jonah's heart?
5. Discuss God's delieverance for Jonah in Jonah 2:10. Jonah is reminded that even in the storm, even in his saddness and depression, even in his spiritual transformation that there is only one who is in control and his ways are good. What does this mean for us and how can we more engage with God's love for us?
